Israel Dairy Board (I.D.B [1]; Hebrew: מועצת החלב) was registered as a limited company in November 1965. The company was established by the Israeli Cabinet at the time, as a body in which decisions essential for proper functioning of the milk industry in Israel will be made. Thus, the Council serves as an umbrella organization since its foundation, shared by all parties involved in producing milk and dairy products in Israel: Israeli government (which engaes in regulation), farmers organizations and cattle farmers and dairies. In practice, the Council is regularly engaged in planning and coordinating the management of Israel's dairy farmings.
